Operations Coordinator - Part time

Hourly Rate - $30.11/hr

Shift - Saturday 07.00am to 4.00pm (9 hours, 1 day/week)

Operations Coordinator summary

Operations Coordinator position is responsible for leading employees in a manufacturing environment, including accountability for the achievement of all safety, quality, customer service, productivity, throughput, cost and continuous improvement objectives through both individual and team contributions. Operations Coordinator is accountable for providing clear direction, leadership, and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, coaching, and on-the-job assignments. Operations Coordinator supports production operations of line from start to finish, food safety and quality. Meets or exceed all production targets metrics. Coordinates changeovers to eliminate over-run of finished goods and timely changeovers. Conducts audits of Standard Operating Procedures. Works with maintenance to troubleshoot production issues. Supports continuous improvement initiatives. Update KPI and communication boards. Provide training to employees as needed. Physically capable of lifting (50 lbs.)

What you bring to the table

• Enrolled in a degree in a related, business or technical field such as food science, operations management, or engineering an asset.
• 2-5 years of experience in a production management or supervision role, preferably in the food processing industry an asset.
• In some cases, education and experience may be substituted for the degree.
